Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 12, 2026 · Last updated: July 12, 2026
Short version: Your email text and analysis results stay on your device. The Veilsort iOS app makes no network calls and has no servers, no analytics, and no accounts. (This website does use Tally forms and a blog upvote service — see §3 and §7 below.)
1. Who We Are
Veilsort is a product of Foculoom LLC, a California limited liability company. You can reach us via our support page.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
The Veilsort iOS app is designed to operate entirely on-device without collecting personal information. Specifically:
- Email text you share or paste into the app is processed locally on your device using Apple Foundation Models. Email content, personal identifiers, and analysis results are never transmitted to any Foculoom server.
- Before on-device analysis, personal identifiers (email addresses, phone numbers, names, addresses) are masked and replaced with
<TOKEN>placeholders, reducing exposure even within the local model prompt. - Analysis results (summary, risk flags, deadlines, suggested replies) and raw email text are stored locally in your device's shared App Group container as file-backed JSON, with user-configurable retention: a number of days, or Forever (the default for new installs is 30 days). You can delete any or all history at any time in Settings.
- We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, crash reporters, advertising networks, or any network-accessible frameworks in the app. MetricKit diagnostics are Apple's own system-level diagnostic reports (crash, hang, CPU, disk-write exceptions) and are handled by Apple, not by Foculoom; this is Apple system behavior and is not initiated by the Veilsort app. The Veilsort app itself makes zero network requests and sends no telemetry of any kind.
- The Veilsort iOS app makes no network calls of any kind. There are no app servers to connect to.
PrivacyInfo.xcprivacydeclares zero network usage and zero data collection. - We do not build user profiles, track your behavior, or collect device identifiers.
- No account creation is required — there is no login, no email, no password.
3. Information We May Process
The following limited data is processed, solely for the stated purposes:
- Support form: If you contact us via our support page, we receive the content of your message. We use that information only to respond to your inquiry.
- Website features: This website (veilsort.com) uses Tally forms for support/contact and a Cloudflare-backed blog upvote service. These are website features, not app features. Standard web server access logs (IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL) may be retained by our hosting provider (GitHub Pages) in accordance with their data retention policies.
4. Children's Privacy
Veilsort is a general-audience email analysis tool. It does not collect any personal information from any user, including children under 13. Because no data is collected, there is no risk of unauthorized data collection from minors. Veilsort does not target children and is not marketed to children.
5. Data Retention
Because we do not collect personal information through the app itself, there is no personal data retained on our servers from app use. On your device, you control retention in Settings: a number of days, or Forever (the default for new installs is 30 days). Purge is automatic when the retention window elapses. Support messages are retained only as long as necessary to resolve the inquiry and comply with applicable law.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including California under CCPA and the EU/EEA under GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because we collect no personal data through the app, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. To exercise any right related to support correspondence, contact us via our support page. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
7. Third-Party Services
The Veilsort website uses Tally.so embedded forms for the waitlist and support contact. Tally.so collects information you submit through the form in accordance with their privacy policy. We receive the information you submit (such as your email address) solely to send you updates about Veilsort or to respond to your support request.
8. Security
Because Veilsort stores all data on-device with no server-side component, the primary privacy protection is architectural: there is no server-side data to breach. Locally stored analysis history is file-backed JSON in the shared App Group container, protected by iOS data protection.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted in the app release notes or on this website.

Blog upvotes
Blog posts may include an optional upvote button. Loading a post requests the shared Foculoom upvote script. If you use the button, Cloudflare processes request metadata including your IP address. The service stores only a truncated HMAC hash for 24 hours to limit repeat votes; it does not store the raw IP address. Your browser may store a local upvote marker. No account, cookie, advertising profile, or cross-site tracking identifier is created.
