Frequently Asked Questions
Is Veilsort on the App Store?
Veilsort is in TestFlight beta now. Public App Store launch is coming soon — join the waitlist to be notified, or check the homepage for the App Store link once it goes live.
What iOS version do I need?
Veilsort requires iOS 26.0 or later with Apple Intelligence enabled. The set of devices that support Apple Intelligence is defined by Apple and iOS availability rather than by Veilsort; on devices without Apple Intelligence, Veilsort shows a graceful unavailable state — no network fallback is attempted.
How do I share an email from Mail?
Open Mail, find the suspicious email, tap the Share button, and select Veilsort from the share sheet. Veilsort opens and analyzes the email on-device. You'll see a summary, risk flags, deadlines, and a cautious suggested reply within seconds. No email content leaves your device.
What does the analysis include?
Each analysis produces: a plain-English summary of what the sender wants; risk flags with domain (legal, financial, privacy, etc.), severity, and a verbatim supporting quote; extracted deadlines with labels and source quotes; and a cautious suggested reply you can copy. You can regenerate the reply in a Cautious or Cooperative tone.
Is my email sent to a server?
No. All analysis happens on your device using Apple Foundation Models. The app makes zero network calls. Personal identifiers are masked before the model sees the text. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What if Apple Intelligence is unavailable?
If your device doesn't support Apple Intelligence, or it's not enabled, Veilsort shows a graceful unavailable state explaining the requirement. No network fallback is attempted — your email never leaves the device. You can enable Apple Intelligence in Settings > Apple Intelligence.
How long is history retained?
You choose a retention window in days, or Forever. The default for new installs is 30 days. Change it in Settings > History Retention. Purge is automatic when the window elapses. You can also delete individual analyses or all history at any time.
How do I subscribe to Veilsort Pro?
Veilsort Pro subscription is planned and not yet available. The app is currently free on TestFlight with no in-app purchase. When the public App Store launch ships, we plan to offer Veilsort Pro at $4.99/month or $29.99/year via Apple's App Store, with a free tier of 10 analyses per month and unlimited analyses for Pro subscribers. Pricing is subject to change before launch. Subscriptions will auto-renew and you will be able to cancel anytime in your Apple ID Settings.
Does Veilsort work on iPad?
Not yet. Veilsort currently requires iPhone with iOS 26.0+ and Apple Intelligence. iPad support is planned (see our roadmap); join the waitlist to be notified when iPad support ships.
